During the week starting October 11th, 2015 the final shift of traffic from the median temporary pavement to the newly constructed outside two lanes will occur. At that time all northbound and southbound traffic will be traveling on the two new outside lanes with uninhibited access to business driveway’s while reconstruction of the inside lane, crossover’s and median continues. This year’s work is currently on track to wrap up prior to Thanksgiving allowing all temporary traffic control devices to be removed and normal traffic patterns to be restored through the winter. During the spring of 2016 final landscaping and restoration work will proceed according to the original schedule. At that time, work within the 16 Mile Rd and 18 Mile Rd intersections that has yet to be completed will take place. When this work commences access will be maintained to all businesses and for all commuters and pedestrians. The work area will be limited to the medians and immediately adjacent to the 16 Mile Rd and 18 Mile Rd intersections.
